Trip to RC Puram

Hi All,

Recently I came to know about the fabric wholesale market in RC Puram, Bangalore. And last week, Myself and 2 of my Ravel group friends went there.
The trip was very easy, from Majestic, u take an auto and ask for RC Puram, Fabric market, they take you there.
And there are many shops in that road, all displaying beautiful printed materials in their entrance.
The Shop we went Tejaswini Enterprises is on the second left if you take the road opposite to Ganesha temple present in main road.
They are thick and are sold by weight. Rs 250/kg for thick materials and Rs 300/kg for medium weight.
And I bought these materials.

I already stitched fitted bedspreads with white orange and pillow covers with Red fabrics.
More stitching to do.

  1. Is it good for readymade clothes as well? Does it have car parking availability or is it conjusted like other markets in Bangalore?

    • No idea about ready made clothes Jaspreet.
Car parking, you can park at a distance and then enter the RC market road. I think there is no parking in the main market road, but it is long time before I went so I dont remember exactly.
Or you can park your car near Majestic and take an Auto.

  2. feel proud that i belong to this area , i stay there and have aceess to all kind of fabrics , if required mail me i will send you by courier or home delivery

  3. The fabric looks great and prints are beautiful. Do they sell cotton kurti and salwar materials? Are they open on Sunday?

    • No, Sundays most of the shops will be closed. These materials are bedspread/furnishing thickness materials.
In the shop where I purchased, there was kalamkari prints and other printed cotton also which are sold by meter.
I felt the choice of kurti materials is more in Commercial streen than R C Puram.
These are mostly surplus/rejects from weaving units.

  4. Do they have fabrics for travel accessories such as Cotton Canvas, Rexine, PVC fabric etc. which are thick, sturdy and waterproof?
