Ravelry is THE site for Crocheters and Knitters.
And the community feeling it gives, you love to do more.
So when the CAL was hosted by DesiLoop, I made this Cushion.
The pattern is from Attic24, well not much of pattern, probably the idea.
I made simple granny squares and made simple flowers and stitched them together.
Voila, such a pretty flowery cushion.
Inbetween, I almost left it as I went to my mom’s home and went on trips.
But the CAL made me finish, Infact I finished much outside the timeframe 😦 but I’m happy that I finished.
Washed and Killed it too. It became soft and no more stiff.
Later stitched it on top of a cushion cover( again self stitched) and filled it store bought cushion.

Recently I came to know about the fabric wholesale market in RC Puram, Bangalore. And last week, Myself and 2 of my Ravel group friends went there.
The trip was very easy, from Majestic, u take an auto and ask for RC Puram, Fabric market, they take you there.
And there are many shops in that road, all displaying beautiful printed materials in their entrance.
The Shop we went Tejaswini Enterprises is on the second left if you take the road opposite to Ganesha temple present in main road.
They are thick and are sold by weight. Rs 250/kg for thick materials and Rs 300/kg for medium weight.
And I bought these materials.
I already stitched fitted bedspreads with white orange and pillow covers with Red fabrics.
More stitching to do.
Yes I am remembering my stitches to try post, and I’m working (little slow) on it.
But before that, as an attempt to bust my stash, I started working on this art silk or malai dori thread.
The color is very vibrant but crocheting with them was tough for me, it was slipping, too thick, difficult to control tension and what not.
Added to that, was the pattern selection which was proving wrong again n again. But finally settled with a neat pattern and finished the bag.
And here it is .
Little Miss bag ready to be gifted for a young little friend( actually Harshini’s friend)
